Kursi Cafe Interiors
The interior graphics for Kursi Cafe revolved around the name, and brought to life the idea that ‘Every chair tells a story’.
Starting with a bold signage on the cafe frontage, moving to the entryway, there was a consistent red and black theme applied.
The staircase leading upto the café had one word or phrase splashed across which captured what one can expect on every seat in the house.
A unique selfie-wall was designed in one corner on the first floor. Here we see a seat of power in the centre, and crowds of illustrated people around it. When a person actually sits on this chair, in photographs from the right angle, it looks like the entire crowd is looking at them.
The idea of ‘chairs’ was extended to the interiors of the café, where it was reflected in a ‘hashtag’ wall, a ‘timeline’ wall, a 3-dimensional wall installation, and photo frames with images of a chair in varied settings.
The idea extended itself even to the washroom signage where male/ female signs were made using chairs!
