Youtube- Creating for India book
Designed to commemorate YouTube’s ‘Creating for India’ campaign, this coffee table book featured 36 stories, one from each state of India, which spoke about the content creators, and their stories which have made a difference to their lives, communities and the country.
The outer case of the book was designed like a valise, and held the book and a statistics report. Made of entirely recyclable materials, and covered with seed paper, the title of the book was laser cut out of the top flap of the book, giving a slight glimpse of the book inside.
The book had a double cover- an outer layer with the typography cutout in laser on hard mill board, and below it, a grid of all the creators featured in the book. Following the brand guidelines, a lively free flowing pattern was used to take the viewer from the cover, through the entire book.
Special attention was paid to the navigation of the 150+ page book- this was achieved by adding tabs at the index. Each story took up 4 pages, with a standard format introduction, large image plate, followed by the story over a double spread. The entire design was created as per brand guidelines.
